For this player headshot package, we filmed the Pittsburgh Pirates clubhouse in virtual reality, stitching together dozens of motion plates. Then we captured motion data from a real smartphone panning around, and translated that into our 3D environment. This allowed us to composite new players into the space as the team evolved throughout the season.
